Profiles
A profile is the player identity Hyprism uses when starting an instance. The active profile appears at the bottom of the navigation rail
Create an offline profile
- Open Profiles and select Add
- Choose Offline profile
- Enter a name from 3 to 16 ASCII letters, digits, hyphens, or underscores, or use the dice button to generate one
- Create the profile
Offline profiles can use a connected custom authentication service or the on-device Local Node. They do not receive official entitlements, cloud identity, or centralized social features
Invalid names turn red. Hover the warning icon to see the reason; Create becomes available when the name is valid.
In the creation screen, press Esc to leave a focused name field. Press Esc again to return to profile type selection, then once more to close the screen.
Add an official profile
- Open Profiles and select Add
- Choose Official Hytale account
- Start sign-in
- Complete authorization in the system browser
- Return to Hyprism after the browser confirms success
Hyprism saves the profiles returned by the account and refreshes the session when required. Official game downloads and launches require an entitled account
Press Esc on the official account step to return to profile type selection. Press it again to close the creation screen.
Edit an offline profile
- Open Profiles and select an offline profile.
- Select Edit in the action row, compact menu, or profile card menu. You can also edit the active profile while a game is running; the running client keeps the identity passed to it at launch.
- Change the Username and UUID. The name must contain 3 to 16 English letters, digits, dashes, or underscores. The UUID must be valid. Use the dice buttons if you want new values.
- Select Save to apply the changes or Cancel to discard them. Invalid fields turn red; hover the warning icon to see why the current value is invalid. Save becomes available when both values are valid.
The updated values appear on the profile card. If saving fails, read the error below the fields and try again.
Official profiles use account-provided identity values and cannot be edited here.
Select and manage profiles
In a compact window, the profile keeps its large avatar and name in the detail view. The main Select action is centered in the top bar. The button with three vertical dots on the right opens additional actions.
- Select a card to view its type, play time, and UUID. Its active status and available actions update immediately.
- Select Select to use that profile for future launches
- Use Copy UUID when another tool needs the identity value
- Use Open Folder to inspect profile-specific files
- Open the three-dot menu on a card to edit an offline profile or delete an inactive profile without opening its detail view.
- Drag the handle to save a different profile order
The active profile cannot be deleted, and its compact menu omits Delete. Select another profile first. In the wide action row, the delete button shows only its icon.
To delete an inactive profile, choose Delete in its action row, compact menu, or card menu. Review the name in the Confirmation overlay and choose Delete again. This also removes the profile's local files and cannot be undone. If deletion fails, the overlay stays open and shows an error.
Do not share session files or authentication tokens from a profile directory. A bug report normally needs launcher logs, not account credentials
